The Bereans are an obscure group only mentioned in Acts 17:11. They were noteworthy for one thing: They listened to Paul and searched Scirpture. In other words, they compared what they heard to God's word. We seek to hold everything to the light of Scripture.
As Baptists we value the Bible, teach that you can have a personal relationship with Christ, Baptize believers based on their profession of faith, and practice congregational governance.
A church is an assembly of believers. The Bible refers to the church as a body. As a community of believers we work together, help each other, and participate in the life of faith.
